As the father of a Thomas-mad toddler, I enjoyed this retrospective in the New Yorker, especially how it remembers the incredibly dark episode where the Fat Controller bricks up a rain-shy Henry in a tunnel:

Manager tip: I’m finding Next Meeting, a simple macOS menubar app, very useful to keep me on top of 1:1s, catch-ups and other events in my work calendar.
I’ve been working on a WebSub hub called Promulgate. It’s fairly basic and although it passes the WebSub.rocks tests it needs a bit more polish. I’ll probably also add background processing via Sidekiq so that publish requests aren’t blocking.
I love Sebastiaan Andeweg’s new day page with an icon summary of his activity that day. And his Reacji facepiles are also very nice. 😍 Plenty of inspiration for some changes I want to make to Transformative.
