Now it makes sense why Fox McCloud was shoe-horned into the Super Mario Galaxy film: a new Star Fox game is coming. www.theverge.com/entertainmen...

Because GitHub Actions have become so unreliable, I've moved a site's scheduled tasks from a scheduled workflow to use Cloudflare's cron triggers. They now correctly run every 15m on CF rather than (maybe) every 2-4h on GH.
I took my kids to see Super Mario Galaxy today. We all loved it. It’s light on storyline, but it’s fun, well-paced for children and packs in so many characters and little touches from the games.
Giving Zed another try as my IDE/editor. I knew it was fast, but what's really impressive is the polish.

Visited the @tessl.io office yesterday for @guypo.com presenting on using agentic engineering across teams, hosted by #CTOCraft. Good networking chat before about engineer concerns, AI-related burnout, metrics and security.

Nice idea, Calum. I’ll try to make sure I’m in town so I can come along.

This is a huge improvement and something I wished for whenever replying to emails. Thank you!
Now that Bandcamp tracks can be embedded on Bluesky, I can post one of my favourites from @waysideandwoodland.bsky.social's epic45: waysideandwoodlandrecordings.bandcamp.com/track/people...
“We are as one” - my Wordle solution today is identical to the Wordlebot’s (words hidden to avoid spoiler). Am I thinking more like it does, or is it thinking more like me?

It's a challenge. Last year I had a video interview with an applicant claiming to be in Stoke. Whoever actually joined the call was in a busy Far East cyber cafe with his cap pulled down over his face. Another kept pausing for 10 seconds after each question, then gave perfect AI-sourced answers.
Gyökeres 14 ✅ #arsenal
I’m off to Wembley later to see Oasis 🥳 which completes the Britpop Big Four of gigs within the last two years: Blur (Wembley in 2023), Suede (Ally Pally in 2024), Pulp (O2 in June) and now Oasis.

Hey Carl! Ah such a long time ago now! You played your part in its success. Of course it was all basically a ruse to get into the Union for free when bands were on.
1-0 to the Arsenal! Brilliant performance from Arsenal Women to win the Champions League. So pleased for them. Watched it with my sons who were jumping around 🏆👏

You were in Codicote, the village where I live! We take my kids up to Spoke after we've been on a country walk. Good coffee and always fun watching the goats play.
My favourite band, Gene, are reuniting for their first gig in 21 years 🎉 I was at their last one in… 2004. See you in Hammersmith 🤩 www.nme.com/news/music/g...

I was just adding a gig I’m going to on Last.fm when I saw my “member since” date: 16 August 2004 😯. That’s 20 years of scrobbling (since its Audioscrobbler days). Newer than my Gmail account but older than Twitter.

"Threads is a gripping, miserable experience” https://www.theverge.com/24060504/threads-review-a-miserable-experience). @verge@mastodon.social on Threads (not that one), the post-apocalyptic 1984 British film, still the most harrowing thing I've watched. I own it on DVD. I must watch it again.
