I'm getting the dreaded rattling noise from one bud of my original AirPods Pro, but only when using noise cancellation. A half-hour with Apple Support generated a quote of £246 to fix or replace. I may as well just buy brand new! For now I'll use my pair as dumb AirPods 🤷

My Logitech C920 was flickering until I used their Logitune app which enabled options to change the refresh rate. Might help?

Archimedes Live (@arclive@oldbytes.space) is a WebAssembly-powered Acorn Archimedes emulator. It's fun using RISC OS again and loading disc images of games I played in the early 1990s. https://archi.medes.live

I’m in! And also using my custom domain name FTW 😎

I'm treating my job search like a full-time job and finding I'm just as busy with calls and messages. I have a few exciting roles at early stages and feeling positive. I'm also enjoying swapping leads with other ex-colleagues - something positive out of all the #layoffs.

Well it's been a disappointing start to the year... yesterday I was let go from my job. Although it was one of several redundancies it's still a bit of a gut punch and the first time I've been laid off. Hey ho. Time to move on and get stuck into a job search.

Congratulations to @paulrobertlloyd on the launch of https://getindiekit.com. It's an incredibly polished and well-designed #indieweb tool. If you're thinking of setting up a personal website (you should!) then you should definitely be checking out Indiekit.

I've added Mastodon syndication to my website's backend, which means this post should appear on my website (barryfrost.com), my Twitter account (@barryf@twitter.com) and my Mastodon account (@barryf@mastodon.social). #indieweb

List of "hot countries" our 6 year old said he'd like to go to on holiday: - France - Australia - Russia - Sainsburys - West Ham - Newcastle - Wolves 😆❤️

Tomorrow I'm assembling my team for the first time together in real life for workshops and /collaboration/ in a conference room. I had to dig around to find my Sharpies, Post-Its, exercise print-outs and an HDMI adapter. It's been a while!

Nice try, Apple... sending a kill command to brick my iPhone in the early hours of this morning on the day the shiny, new 13 is released. Sneaky. The display flickered forlornly before it finally gave up. Thankfully my mobile insurance covers a replacement 😥

I upgraded to iOS 15 and so far so good: - Forcing myself to use Safari's bottom address bar. - New 1Password extension is a big time-saver. - I tried iCloud+'s custom email domain support and it works perfectly, including on Big Sur. - Just waiting for Monterey.
